News of the Air Jordan VI/XVII Collezione Package was music to the ears as it gave Jordan-heads the opportunity to own a pair of the Air Jordan VI Carmine (a suede version of the Jordan XVII didn’t hurt either). We’d like to announce that the Carmine VI and the suede XVII is coming back together, but not in a way you might’ve expected. Here’s a Sneaker News Exclusive look at the Air Jordan 6-17-23 in Black, Carmine, and White; it features both pairs from the VI/XVII Collezione Package cross-hybridized into one shoe, with each Jordan model expressing co-dominance on the design of the shoe. Carmine red can be seen on the upper panels with black suede laid above as well as on the toe, with a white panel on the heel.

The silhouette of the shoe certainly takes after the Air Jordan VI parent but the XVII can bee seen on the midsole, which features the same midfoot plate, as well as on the upper vents and Jazz-inspired graphic on the tongue, which also features the corduroy-like ribbed fabric. A look at the bottom sole and you’ll see hints from both the Air Jordan VI given by the dotted translucent outsole and the Air Jordan XVII based on the golf-course inspired traction. Jordan Brand’s newest hybrid endeavor involves combining two Legacy models with number designations summing up to 23, and at this point the 6-17-23 looks to be the first of such releases – with the Carmine colorway arriving in February 2011. Vashtie Kola for those of you that don’t know is a trendsetting fashion designer that hand selected this color scheme for the female retro release of the Air Jordan II in the Lavender/Deep Purple colorway. This particular release is for the ladies, as it features a lavender nubuck upper with a deep purple trim on a solid metallic silver midsole. These will release at select Jordan Brand retailers on October 2nd, 2010.

Here’s a look at this scheduled October 30th release pf the Air Jordan 2 Rasta pack. Each pair of the Candy Pack features a tonal upper – red, yellow, or green – with a black midsole and a white bottom sole. What would you call the pack if you could name it?

This past weekend Bow Wow made an in store appearance as a Footlocker employee for the release of his new comedy ‘Lottery Ticket’. As you can see he was sporting the Air Jordan IX ‘Citrus’ Sneakers that were released earlier this year.

Celebrity sneakerhead Fabolous came out to check out the Air Jordan Lasered ‘For the Love of the Game’ display and did so wearing the Air Jordan XIII (13) Flint – an upcoming Holiday 2010 release…notice we said UPCOMING meaning they’re not out yet, but when your a rapstar you can get the new jordans coming out before anybody else.

The Air Jordan 9 Retro is now available online from Finish Line. It comes in a Black/White upper with a Varsity Red Air Jordan Jumpman logo.

Releasing at Atmos and House of Hoops in Harlem, is a limited edition version of the ‘For the Love of Game’ model Jordan in collaboration with Skull Candy, which features a pair of Skull Candy headphones colored to match.

Only 23 pairs will be available (wonder why they chose 23? ) and will only release at the two stores mentioned above. The regular Air Jordan IX (9) ‘For the Love of the Game’ officially releases tomorrow so you can expect the Skull Candy to follow up very closely. Check out all the detailed pictures below:

Heres a quick …but detailed pictures of the Melo M6 Future Sole USAB edition even though he won’t be a part of the USA basketball squad. This particular USAB Melo sneaker gets style hints from contest winner Austin Jermacans’ flowy ebmossed style that dressed up an Air Jordan 2010 Team. Check out more shots after the jump and get ready for these to release alongside the World Basketball Festival’s main games this Saturday.

Check out the second installment of the Air Jordan Prime 5 in a tech grey and metallic silver colorway. The Air Jordan Prime 5 is a combination of the AJ1 and AJV even though it isn’t has prevalent in its current form. You can see hints of the Air Jordan 5 by the lacing eyelets and side paneling with the netting even though its applied differently. It apparently takes its sole from the Air Jordan 1 or better yet the Air Jordan Alpha 1. Check out the photos below and let us know what you think. We will have more details on a release date later.
